Meet the team

Hello, I’m Babu. After qualifying within a small, chartered accountancy practice, I moved onto a bigger corporate firm, gaining experience in large audits. After careful consideration, it was the right time in 1992 to start an accountancy practice of my own, looking after small clients offering a very bespoke and personal accountancy service. Being a local, the clientele grew significantly and from further afield. Currently my time in the practice is mainly occupied by meeting with clientele and tailoring their needs, with a personal touch, in their accounting and tax matters.

Hello, I’m Kyle. I was born and raised in Southport and continue to live here now. I started here at SB Patel & Co. in 2017 as an apprentice, moving into a more prominent accounts role over the years. I am currently studying for my ACCA qualification, after already achieving MAAT status. In my down time, I love to be active. This ranges from my main hobby, which is football, to adventurous walks and going to the gym.

Hello, I’m Lily, and I’ve been part of the team since 2015. Initially I started as a receptionist and later discovered my passion for accounts. I have now gone on to gain my MAAT status and am currently completing my ACCA qualification. Drawing from my experience in both reception and accounts, I bring a unique perspective to our team. When I’m not working, I love exploring the world and soaking in different cultures.

Hi, I’m James. I am the newest member of the team, starting in 2023. I am strong believer in “When you love what you do, you don’t work a day in your life”, This epitomizes my work life. Currently I am studying ACCA, following the completion of my AAT. I do strive to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but I am a sucker for a McMuffin.

Hi, I’m Diane. I am the longest serving member of the team, starting in 2006.  I am married with a daughter and have lived in Southport for most of my life. I work part-time to suit my family life.  I started out as a receptionist and have progressed to VAT manager. I really do enjoy my work and the communication with our clients. I look forward to serving many more years with our team.

Hi, I’m Sabiha. My main duty in the practice is administrative payroll duties using a specialised software for various clientele, whether it be weekly, 2 weekly, 4 weekly or monthly payroll. I have also been involved in preparing accounts for some of the clients. Currently, I am also ensuring that the practice has all IT issues and office facilities up to date with the latest technology.
